Product Quality Report

The Product Quality Report shows the current quality state of products in a company workspace. Use it to find product data blockers, understand which categories need attention, and open the right work queue in Product Overview or Staging.

The report is read-only. Opening the page does not run a new scan; it reads the latest saved product quality state.

Report profile

The report profile explains which business role the company is evaluated as.

  • Brand authority means the company is treated as a manufacturer, brand owner, or designer responsible for canonical product data.
  • Distributor means the company is treated as a distributor or supplier focused on onboarding and publishing product data.
  • Procurement means the company is treated as a buyer or consumer focused on using and sourcing product data.

The profile is inferred from product and category relationships. It is not a quality status by itself.

Overall status

The overall status is a roll-up of the same product-row signals used in Product Overview: data status, workflow, publication, review, and issue flags.

  • Ready means no known blockers are visible in the current quality state.
  • Needs work means some products show Product Overview signals such as Data check required, Incomplete, Draft, Ready to publish, missing media, or non-blocking issue flags.
  • Review means at least one record is waiting for review or approval.
  • Blocked means at least one product has Product Overview data status Invalid or Conflict, or an import/staging failure blocks cleanup.

Example: Report profile: Brand authority and Overall status: Blocked means the company is being evaluated as a brand authority, and at least one visible category contains blocking product data. The company role is not blocked; the report status is blocked.

Dates

  • Quality snapshot updated is the latest time the saved product quality state was updated for the report scope.
  • Last data-check scan is the latest Product Data Check run found for the same company scope.

If the two times are different, the quality snapshot and the last scan were updated at different moments. The report uses the saved quality state, not a new calculation during page load.

Data status summary

The status cards use the same data-status language as Product Overview:

  • Data check required matches Product Overview data status Data check required. Open the card and use Check data where needed.
  • Ready matches Product Overview data status Ready.
  • Incomplete matches Product Overview data status Incomplete.
  • Invalid matches Product Overview data status Invalid.
  • Conflict matches Product Overview data status Conflict.

Quality by dimension

Dimension cards group quality signals by business area:

  • Completeness checks whether names, descriptions, brand data, required attributes, and primary media are present.
  • Template integrity checks whether product payloads still match the active category template.
  • Identity quality checks whether identity components are complete and conflict-free.
  • Import health shows staging rows that failed or are parked for manual intervention.
  • Media & documents shows primary media coverage and future document-quality checks.
  • Governance shows Draft, approval, and Ready to publish queues that affect publication readiness.

Each card has a score, affected count, status, and action link. A high score can still appear with a warning if even one affected record needs review or repair.

Quality by category

The category table shows where work is concentrated.

  • Category is the product category. Use the category avatar to open category details.
  • Products counts concrete products in the category.
  • Groups counts grouped variant families.
  • Variants counts concrete variant products.
  • Score is a 0-100 quality score for product rows in the category.
  • Status is the category business status: Ready, Needs work, Review, or Blocked.
  • Overview signals lists all visible Product Overview signals for the category, such as Data check required, Ready, Draft, Internal, Ready to publish, Invalid, Conflict, template issues, Identity stale, or identity issues.
  • Data check req., Ready, Incomplete, Invalid, and Conflict match Product Overview data-status counts.
  • Drafts and Ready to publish match Product Overview workflow/publication queues.
  • Missing req. counts records missing mandatory category data.
  • Template errors counts records with stale templates or attribute payload/type problems.
  • Identity blockers counts records with missing or conflicting identity components.
  • Import blockers is shown as N/A when category-level staging data is not available.
  • Review counts records waiting for review or approval.
  • Open opens Product Overview with filters for that category and issue.

If a category is Blocked, it does not mean the category itself is locked. It means Product Overview should show at least one product in that category with data status Invalid or Conflict. Open the row to see the affected products.

Priority work

Priority work cards mirror practical Product Overview queues:

  • Data check required opens products that need a current data check.
  • Drafts opens products still in Draft workflow status.
  • Ready to publish opens products that are Approved, Ready, and still Internal.
  • Invalid opens products with Invalid data status.
  • Conflicts opens products with Conflict data status.
  • Template / attribute issues opens products with stale template or attribute payload issue flags.
  • Identity stale opens products that need identity recalculation.
  • Identity issues opens products with identity issue flags.
  • Missing required attributes opens records missing mandatory category values.
  • Import & staging failures opens staging rows that failed or were parked.
  • Pending approval opens records waiting for approval.

Counts can be zero. A zero-count card is kept visible so users can confirm that queue is currently clear.

CSV export

Use Download CSV to export the report context, status summary, and category table. The CSV uses business labels and avoids raw technical IDs by default.

What to do when the report is blocked

  1. Start with Priority work and open the queue with the largest or most severe count.
  2. If a category row is blocked, open the row and review Product Overview filters.
  3. Fix invalid data, conflicts, drafts, stale templates, or missing mandatory values.
  4. Use Check data or the relevant Product Overview action to update the saved quality state.
  5. Return to the report and confirm that the affected status moved from Blocked or Needs work toward Ready.
